about
This song is about those times within everyone's life when they just feel trapped, alone, ashamed and abandoned. We all have gone through some tough things in life, addictions, separation, loss, and countless other tragedies. Sometimes we feel so lost that we think we will never be able to crawl back to the place we once felt loved and accepted. I wrote this song as a reminder that even when we fall, there is a God who loves us no matter what we have done. We can always go home.
lyrics
Fallen Lyrics
I watch as my soul is bleeding out,
Sprawled out on the floor as I suppress my convictions
Lord I’m sorry, I’m trying
My best to make you proud
But my will has failed and crying out my
Father hear my cry
Father hear my cry
The months they pass
The seasons change
Yet I’m still a slave
A slave to the same old putrid things
I’m lost, I’m desperate I can’t fight this anymore
I keep trying to change but I’m lost without you
Father hear my cry
Father hear my cry
On the surface I look great
On the surface I’m ok
But I keep digging myself into this dark and hollow grave
My visions failing
It’s growing darker
I’ve tried to crawl back to the sun but I’m sinking further
Down
I’ve never felt so alone
I’ve never been so far from home
I’ve never felt so alone
I’ve never been so far from home
These scars, they don’t heal with time
A distant shoreline, a shoreline I can’t find
These scars, they don’t heal with time
A distant shoreline, a shoreline I can’t find
Though I walk through the valley
You have never failed to be at my side
Though I’ve ran, to the edge of the earth
You were there to take me home
God I’ve made those promises to you
What seems to be a thousand times
Yet I have spat in your face
At least a thousand more
My eyes can finally see
Who you’ve created me, to be
